TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 5
08.07.24 to 12.07.24

On the first day we teacher trainees reach the school by 9.30 am. After signing the register we went to staff room. In the second period I went to 9B for substitution class. Then conducted a class test on 9B from the first chapter and collected the papers. Then we did our lesson plan related works. After lunch on 5th period I went to 8B .After signing the register we left the school at 4.00pm.
On the second day we reach the school by 9.30am.After signing the register we went to the staff room.first two hours are free for me and I did my lesson plan related works.Third hour I went to 9B for substitution. After lunch on 5th period I went to 8B and gave them activities.After signing the register we left the school by 4.00 pm.
On the third day we reach the school by 9.30 am. After signing the register we went to staff room. First period our optional teacher came for observation .I got observation on 8B and teach them a topic DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANIMAL TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION. After the class teacher gave me valuable suggestions about the class.Then on the second period teacher corrected our lesson plan and reflective journal.After lunch I went to 8B and teach them a topic MERISTEMATIC TISSUES,POSITION AND IMPORTANCE. After signing the register we left the school by 4.00pm. 
On the forth day we reach the school by 9.30 am. After signing the register we went to staff room. On this day school celebrated world population day.The special assembly for the day was conducted by 9B students. Special people about world population day was delivered by a student and a special quiz was conducted on the assembly.Harinarayanan from 9B got first prize.On the first period I went to 8B and teach them a topic MERISTEMATIC CELL AND MATURE CELL.Next two hours was free and we did our lesson plan related works.After lunch on 5th period I went to 8 B and teach them a topic DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANT TISSUE AND THEIR FUNCTION. After signing the register we left the school by 4.00pm 
On the fifth day we reached the school by 9.30 am. After signing the register we went to staff room. On the first period I went to 8B and teach them a topic DIFFERENT KINDS OF VASCULAR TISSUESAND THEIR FUNCTION. Then on 4th period I went to 8B and teach them a topic CONSTITUENT TISSUESIN DIFFERENT ORGAN AND THEIR FUNCTION. After lunch on 6th period I went to 9B for substitution. After signing the register we left the school by 4.00pm. 

SUGGESTIONS MADE BY TEACHER DURING OBSERVATION 
1.lesson template
 Almost pre requisites were included clear classroom interaction procedure.
Negatives:more self explanatory activities is given at certain areas.
2.set induction
Aroused interest and curiosity of students.checked well prerequisites.conductive environment is provided.
3.development of the lesson
Reinforcement is given frequently. Pleasant,confident teacher movement noted.systematic presentation of lesson plan.
Negatives:could have used hint chart.
4.learning experiences
Purposeful and varied,life related,age appropriate, child friendly,life related.
5.learner involvement
Rapport and interaction is noted.
Negatives:self construction activity for knowledge is expected more.
6. Audio visual aids
 Chart,still model and cutouts are used.age appropriate,adequate,neat ,legible.Black board used well.
7.Mastery of subject matter
Delivered as per objectives.good content and supplementary knowledge.
8.classroom management
Knows names of all students.good rapport.individual attention and eye contact noted.
9.closure of the lesson.
Summarised all main points using all learning aids.
10.assessment and evaluation
Formative assessment is seen through out the entire class session as per objectives. 

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 
The students of 8th standard were taught the topics DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANIMAL TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,MERISTEMATIC TISSUES,POSITION AND IMPORTANCE,MERISTEMATIC AND MATURE CELL,DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANT TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,DIFFERENT KINDS OF VASCULAR TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,CONSTITUENT TISSUES IN DIFFERENT ORGANS AND ITS FUNCTION.Teaching aids were used appropriately based in the topic. Follow up works like assignment and picture album preparation were given. The reflective journal were also done this week.
Action plan implementation done in all days in this week and conducted different activities daily.

 OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students were given teaching manual based activity oriented class room experience. The topics covered in 8B are DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANIMAL TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,MERISTEMATIC TISSUES,POSITION AND IMPORTANCE,MERISTEMATIC AND MATURE CELL,DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANT TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,DIFFERENT KINDS OF VASCULAR TISSUES AND THEIR FUNCTION,CONSTITUENT TISSUES IN DIFFERENT ORGANS AND ITS FUNCTION.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
school celebrated world population day and based on that special assembly was conducted
