TEACHING PRACTICE FIRST PHASE - WEEK 1

WEEK 1: MONDAY TO FRIDAY :10.06.2024 TO 15.06.2024

           INTRODUCTION

Our second phase of teaching practice is at H.S.S Thadikkadu,from 10.06.2024
The principal of sabarigiri college of education alloted two students to the school.Ameena fathima and me from natural science.Our department head Sreedevi miss provided us with all necessary instructions,guidance and support for completing our teaching manual,selective activities for models for teaching and preparing teaching aids for teaching practice.

On the first day We the teacher trainees alloted to H.S.S thadikkadu reached school at 9.30am ,then signed our register and stayed in the staff room,where our teacher alloted us to sit.On the first day there was a special assembly conducted by 9A students.On the assembly HM gave prizes to the students who won prizes in environmental day on poster making.On the first day we collected time table from our concerned teacher Priya Rani.8B and 9B are my concerned classes which are English medium classes.First period I went to 8B.Students invited me happily. I Iintroduced then and they introduced one by one.Then i teach them a topic from the first chapter 'different parts and functions of compound microscope'. Then second period I went to 9B for substitution.Then after lunch 5th leriod i went to 8B and teach them a topic 'light arrangement mechanism in a compond microscope'.Then at 4.00pm we signed the register and leave the school.
                      In the second day we reached the school at 9.30 and first two hours was free for me and i did my lesson plan related works.fourth period i went to 8B and teach them a topic' preparation of observation material'.Fifth period and six period I don't have class and did my works.
                    In the third day we reach the college at 9.30am.In the first period I went to 9B and teach them a topic 'cells and biomolecules'.Second and third period was free and I did my lesson plan related works.On the fourth period I went to 8B for substitution and gave some activities to students related to lesson plan.After lunch on 6th period I went to 9A for substitution.After signing the register we left the college by 4.00pm.
             In the fourth day we reached the college by sharp 9.30.There was a special assembly conducted by 10B students.After assembly on the first period I went to 8B and teach them a topic different scientists and their contributions in cell biology. On third period I went to 9B for substitution class.After lunch break there was club meeting on 9B .Selection for different club like science club,eco club,maths club and teen club was happened. The club members,president and secretary was selected.After signing the register we leave the school by 4.00pm.
               On the fifth day we reached the school by 9.00 am.After signing the register we reached the staff room.Since today is Friday class started early and first period I don't have any concerned class and second period I went tob9B and teach them a topic 'types of metabolism.Fifth period I went to 9B for substitution activities.After sigmingnthe register we left the school by 4.00pm.
              On the sixth day we teacher trainees reached the college by 9.30 am.After signing the register we went to staff room.There was exam conducted in the school related to little kites selection.And I went for exam duty and on the 4th period there was substitution in 8B and after lunch again got a substitution class in 8B in 5th period.Aftee signing the register we left the school by 4.00pm.

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

in this week the students of 8th standard were taught the chapter lifes mysteries in little chamber and covere the topics different parts and functionsof compound microscope, light arrangemnt mechanism in compound microscope, preparation of observationmaterial and different scientists and their contributions in cell biology.Then the students in 9th standard were taught the chapter to life process and covered the topics cell and biomolecules and types of metabolism.
The reflective journal was also completed this week 

OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE 
         The students of class 8th and 9th standard were given teaching manual orientd activity based classroom experience.four teaching manual of class 8 and two teaching manual of class 9 were complete effectively.The topics covered in class 8 are lifes mysteries in little chamber and covere the topics different parts and functionsof compound microscope, light arrangemnt mechanism in compound microscope, preparation of observationmaterial and different scientists and their contributions in cell biology.The topics covered in 9th standard was cell and biomolecules and types of metabolism. evaluation was made by asking questions from the topics.Students were given various follow up work like assignments and picture album.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The science club,maths,eco and teen club selection on 13.06.24.Little kites exam on 15.06.24 held on computer lab.

WEEKEND REFLECTION MEETING

We the sabarigiri college natural science department conducted a weekly meeting under the guidance of Sreedevi miss.The meeting started at 7.30 pm on Saturday and ends at 8.00pm.In this meeting teacher asks us to share our first week experiences and every students share their experiences.Also teacher asks about the teaching manual and associated works.Helps us how to write blog effectively.

We the sabarigiri collegeof education ,natural science department conducted a weekly meeting under the guidance of sreedevi miss based on our first week of secong phase teaching practice .Principal was also a part of the meeting.The meeting started at 5.00pm and ends at 5.30 pm.In this meeting teacher ask us to share our first week school experience.Then teacher ask about the lesson plan and related works.Gave us instruction to prepare diagnostic test question.
