TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 5: MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 06.11.2023 -10.11.2023
REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
After a short break we joined our concerned school on 06.11.2023.Since we have university exams we took a short break for teaching practice from 11.10.2023.we went back to college and after exam rejoined again
We the teacher trainees alloted to H.S.S Thadikkadu reached the school right at 9.30am everyday. Then signed our register and went to staffroom,were our seat was alloted.
On the first day we reached the school at sharp 9.30am and there was a morning assembly conducted by 9A students.Since unit test was conducted in school during this period and I went to 9B for examination duty.Second period I went to 8B which was my alloted class and teach them a topic 'integrated pest management'.Then third period period I went to 9B and teach them a topic 'process of expulsion of carbondioxide'.since some students went for sub district youth festival some of the students were not present.Fourth period there was no class for me so I did my lesson plan related works.Then we went to lunch again there was unit test for students.On the afternoon session sixth and seventh period I went to 9B for substitution.After signing the register we left the college at 4.00pm.
Due to educational strike we don't have class on 07.11.2023.
In the third day we reached the school at 9.30am and in the first period I went to 9B for exam duty. Second period I went to 8B and conducted them diagnostictest. The questions was already prepared and the time given was 30 minutest question was prepared for 20 marks.Total 32 students attend the exam.Third period I went to 8B and teach them a topic'waste management and sustainable agriculture '.Then we had our lunch.After Lunch I went for exam duty in class 8A. sixth and seventh period I got time for completing my record works.After signing the register we leave the school at 4.00pm.
In the fourth day i reach the school at sharp 9.30 am.There was assembly for students conducted by 8A .I went to 9B for examination duty.Todays exam was English and the time given was one hour and 15minutes.After exam on 3rd I went to 9Bwhich was my concerned class and teach them a topic 'Role of respiratory system in maintaining homeostasis '.Then I had my lunch and went to 9B for exam duty.The exam was hindi and time duration was 45 minutes.After noon session on 6th period I went to 8B for substitutionand I took whole class remedial class for the students on the basis of the diagnostic test conducted.The topic selected was'Modern agricultural techniques'.Last hour was free and I did my lesson plan.After signing the register we left the school at 4.00pm.
In the fifth day we reach the school at 9.30am.On the first period I went to 9B and conduct a class test for 9B students as per my teachers instruction.Then second period I went to 8B and teach them a topic 'Different agricultural sectors' and after interval on the third period I went to 9B for substitution class.Fourth period was free and I did my lesson plan related works. We had our lunch and after lunch on 5th period I went to 8B for individual remedial teaching .6th and 7th period I wnt to 9 B for substitution.After signing the register we left the college at 4.00pm.
CURRICULAR AND CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The students of 9th standard were taught the topics 'process of expulsion of carbondioxide' and 'role of respiratory system in maintaining homeostasis 'and students of 8B were taught the topic'integrated pest management','waste management and sustainable agriculture' and 'Different agricultural sectors'.Teaching aids were used appropriately based on the topic taught.follow up works like assignment and picture album preparation are given.The reflective journal were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students are given teaching manual based activity oriented class room experience. The topic covered in 9B is 'process of expulsion of carbondioxide' and 'role of respiratory system in maintaining homeostasis 'and students of 8B were taught the topic'integrated pest management','waste management and sustainable agriculture' and 'Different agricultural sectors'.
