WEEK 1: WEDNESDAY TO SATURDAY:20.09.2023 TO 23.09.2023
INTRODUCTION
Our first phase of teaching practice is at H.S.S Thadikkadu,from 20.09.2023.
The principal of sabarigiri college of education ,Dr Meera Raj ma'am alloted two students to the school.Ameena fathima and me from natural science.Our department head Sreedevi miss provided us with all necessary instructions,guidance and support for completing our teaching manual,selective activities for models for teaching and preparing teaching aids for teaching practice.

Reflection on school experience
We the teacher trainees alloted to H.S.S thadikkadu reached school at 9.30am everyday,then signed our register and stayed in the staff room,where our teacher alloted us to sit.On the first day we collected time table from our concerned teacher Priya Rani.8B and 9B are my concerned classes which are English medium classes.First period I went to 8B.Students invited me happily. I Iintroduced then and they introduced one by one. I gave them some activities and the session was interesting.Then second period I went to 9B for substitution.Then 3rd period I went to 8B and I took the topic"Reasons of food scarcity and relevance of food securuty".After Lunch I got a substitution on 9A and 8A.
In the Second day we had a special assembly on the morning.Ist period and 3rd period I got class on 8B and cover two topics,"challenges to ensure food security" and "different crisis in agricultural sector" and took one topic in 9B" part,peculiaritiesand functions of respiratory system".Afternoon section they have practice session for their arts programme.
In the third day I took a class at 9B on the topic"Types of respiratory movements(inspiration and expiration) and in 8B I cover two topics "importance of fertile soil in ensuring food security" and "importance of microbial fertilizers".
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
in this week the students of 8th standard were taught the chapter lets regain our fields,and study about food security,challenges for ensuring food security,importance of fertile soil and microbial fertilisers.Then the students in 9th standard were taught the last chapter in part 1 and cover the topics parts and functions of respiratory system and types of respiratory movements.
The reflective journal was also completed this week
OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of class 8th and 9th standard were given teaching manual orientd activity based classroom experience.Five teaching manual of class 8 and two teaching manual of class 9 were complete effectively.The topics covered in class 8 are Reasons of food scarcity and relevance of food safety,challenges to ensure food security,Different crisis of agricultural sector,importance of fertile soil in ensuring food security and importance of microbial fertilizers.The topics covered in 9th standard are,parts,peculiarities and functions of respiratory system and types of respiratory movements(inspiration and expiration)Evaluation was made by asking questions from the topics.Students were given various follow up work like assignments and still model making.
